In My Mailbox -42- and some news!

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren every Sunday. In My Mailbox is a weekly meme that lets everyone see what books you have received or bought that week.

I was hoping to post this last night, but my internet connection started acting up (more so than usual) so I couldn't post it. Anyway, Sunny was tuckered out and I didn't have the heart to wake him and move him off of the bed, so today's IMM picture features him as well. ;)
For Review
1. Built to Last - David Macaulay
2. Remarkable Creatures - Tracy Chevalier
3. The Fetch - Laura Whitcomb
4. Hunger - Jackie Morse Kessler
5. Ghost Huntress: The Counseling - Marley Gibson
6. Girlology's There's Something New About You - Melisa Holmes, M.D. & Trish Hutchison, M.D.

Many thanks goes to Barbara from Penguin Canada, and Anita from Thomas Allen & Son for the review titles I received this week.

Bought
1. A Blue So Dark - Holly Schindler (Bought for the upcoming TBS blog tour.)
2. Tell Me A Secret - Holly Cupala (Bought for the upcoming TBS blog tour.)
3. Glass Houses - Rachel Caine (I have searched high and low for this copy of Glass Houses because I have the rest of the series in this format, and didn't want to have to buy them in the bind-up format. I am happy to say that I finally found a copy at the Book Depository.)

News

Scott Nicholson's blog tour is going strong, and you can still enter to win at the blogs that he is visiting all through November. He has had such success that several of his books have reached the Amazon Kindle Top 100 list. His book Disintegration hit the top 100 list earlier in the tour, and his book As I Die Lying hit the top 100 list yesterday. Congratulations Scott!
What does that mean for those who have followed the blog tour and commented on the post featured here? Not one, but TWO chances to win a kindle now as Scott is giving away another Kindle. If you would like to follow along with the tour and increase your chances of winning, follow the link posted here to view the giveaway information and master list of all of the participating blogs.

If you would like to help promote Scott's books through twitter, please tweet the following sentence:

Unauthorized autobiography of a serial killer as I Die Lying leaked at http://amzn.to/9VIkOS #kindle #books #humor

Thank you.

Tomorrow kicks off the Penguin blog tour for Kate Jacob's Knit the Season. I'll be posting my review, as well as an interview with Kate, and a Canada only giveaway. (It is getting to be that time of year again, and this would make a perfect holiday gift for the book lover, and/or knitter in your life.)

I'll also be posting a green review this week to promote awareness for Eco-Libris' Green Books Campaign. The press release can be found here. 200 blogs are participating, which is amazing. Look for that review on Wednesday at 1pm EST.

I also have reviews scheduled for Andrea Cremer's Nightshade, Anna Levine's Freefall (which is part of the Teen Book Scene's blog tour), and Sharon Dogar's Annexed. I am hoping to read and review several other books for later this week as well, including Jim Butcher's Side Jobs, and J.D. Robb's Indulgence in Death. I may be biting off more than I can handle as I'm still hoping to continue on with my NaNo project, though I haven't gotten very far in it yet. It may turn into NaNo Season rather than NaNo Month. ;)

Anyway, enough typing from me. :) What did you get in your mailbox this week?

I rather like the kitty cat in the picture. Maybe that could be your signature IMM picture. :o)

Thanks Elizabeth! I'll check out your mailbox! :)

Eleni, thanks! He definitely was comfy. He only looked up to see what I was surrounding him with and promptly fell back asleep. ;)

Trillian, Thank you! I hope you enjoy yours as well! :D

Beth, I might just do that. Will see if he'll sit still long enough to get a picture of him with the books, eh? :)

I want to read Tell Me a Secret! Sounds like a great read!

This week Over the Moon by Diane Daniels came in the mail from a contest I won. I didn't buy any books this week, but I picked up The Scorch Trials, Mistwood, The Mercy Thompson Series books, A Match Made in High School, and It's Not Summer Without You from the library.
