Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB from Should Be Reading, and anyone can play along!
- grab your current read
- flip to a random page
- select two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page
- try not to include spoilers!
- please let us know the author and book so we can add them to our TBR pile!
I haven't participated in quite a while, and for that I feel like I've been missing out. Especially since I find myself adding a lot of books to my wishlist when I check out the different teasers. :)
Today's teaser comes from Jim Butcher's new book of short stories, Side Jobs. I love all of his work and love the fact that he has compiled a list of his short stories into one book.
Mac runs the pub where the supernatural community of Chicago does most of its hanging out. His place has seen more than its share of paranormal nasties, and if Mac looked worried, I wanted the spell-reinforced leather of the duster between my tender skin and the source of his concern. I took the staff back from Mac, who nodded to me and then crouched down to Mouse, who had gravely offered a paw to shake. Mac shook, ruffled Mouse's ears, and said, "Missing girl." pg. 110
That sounds good, eh? Post the links to your teasers in the comments section and I'll check them out! Don't forget to enter the giveaways while you're here. :) Happy reading!

I love Harry Dresden, haven't gotten to Jim's other fantasy series yet, but Harry is definitely a winner!
My teaser is here if you'd like to drop by!
Jennifer, Mouse is Harry's dog. (His name is quite the misnomer.) ;) I'm not sure who the missing girl is yet as I'm not that far into the book yet. :)
Shaunesay, I love both of his series! He can write anything. (Including pokemon.) ;)
Not familiar with this author, but that is an intriguing teaser. Thanks for visiting!
