I'd like to welcome Jess C. Scott here today. She is the author of The Intern, which is the first book in her new seven deadly sins series. This interview is part of the blog tour hosted by the Teen Book Scene. You can learn more about the SINS07 series here.
What is your favourite line from "The Intern"?
"Please, touch me, I pray."--Chapter 4. It captures the theme of "The Intern" ;)
What deadly sin would describe you the most? (Why?)
I've scored high on "gluttony" with a couple of "seven deadly sins" quizzes (what can I say? Good food is an absolute must!).
If Suzie Q. had a theme song, what would it be?
I think the classic rock song, "Suzy Q," possibly (since it's the song where she gets her nickname/name from, ever since Chester--her good friend and internship partner--told her about it).
What would the front page headline of a newspaper say about you?
Something along the lines of, "Jess C Scott: Solo Powerhouse."
Or "Author/Artist Jess C Scott _______ (insert scandalous rumor/gossip)."
What did you enjoy most about creating this new series?
The first book in the series was fun to do (my earlier books were more alternative). The combination of dance, travel, music, and lust were very nice to work with. I intend to maintain an element of fun throughout the entire series. I thought it'd be a nice way to combat the dreariness and misery in the world.
What kind of building would you describe yourself as, and why?
Something sturdy and artistic--it reflects my personality.
Love your answers, Jess! Thank you for being here and answering these questions for me!
