Blog Tour: Return the Heart by T.K. Richardson - Guest Post.

Hi everyone! First off, I'm going to say if you haven't checked out, read, or added Return the Heart by T.K. Richardson to your reading list, you might want to do that. I am happy to announce that I am taking part in the blog tour for the author, courtesy of YA Book Blog Tours. For more information about the book and where to purchase, feel free to visit the author's website here.

Yesterday the tour kicked off over at Jami's blog, YA Addict, and tomorrow's stop is hosted by Leilani over at Leilani Loves Books. Feel free to follow along the tour trail, and learn why this book should be on your reading list!

Given Lilly's ambivalence to her gift, how would you respond if you had her gift? What would you have done in her situation, would you have used it for good or evil?

Thank you for having me as a guest on your blog and for featuring my YA novel Return the Heart. The questions you've asked are great and I would love to answer them for you and your readers.
Lilly’s gift of reading the heart is similar to intuition, but to a much greater degree. She is able to see past people’s facades and know them fully. She sees through their emotions, thoughts, quirks, and sees directly into the heart of a person. She knows if they’re good or evil.
Lilly’s gift is quite unique and as a writer I had to put myself in her shoes through the entire novel. What I love about Lilly is her innocence – even though she knows such intimate details about everyone she sees there is still a level of innocence to her.
Now about whether I would use the gift she has for good or evil – I would use it for good. I hope I would use a gift like this to encourage people. If I were to know someone’s heart to the extent that Lilly does, I would try to help in some way.
If I found myself in her situation, though, I’m not sure how I would handle it. She finds herself on the run from the most dangerous people one could think of. So I’m not sure what I would do. My first instinct would be to run and hide, but that wouldn’t make a very good story. I’m so glad Lilly is the main character in Return the Heart and not me.
Another point I would like to make is that I believe we all have gifts and talents - not necessarily the type of gift that Lilly has (that’s a work of fiction), but we all have some type of gift. I want to encourage people to find what you love and what you’re good at and pursue that dream.

Thank you T.K. for sharing that. I agree, I believe we all have gifts and talents as well. :) Thank you for stopping by, and I hope a lot of readers will be inspired by your message and will also read Lilly's story.

Honestly, it sounds good, doesn't it? :) Thank you for stopping by, and allowing me to be a part of the blog tour! I hope you all pick up this book soon! :)
