Waiting on Wednesday

I'm going to resurrect the Waiting on Wednesday meme on Lost For Words. It's been a while since I posted it, and I LOVE posting about new books, especially ones that I am waiting for impatiently.

Why it's on my wishlist:

This series blew me out of the water with the first book. Honestly, I can't say I've ever been hooked so completely by a series since James Clemens' The Banned and the Banished series. Fantastical elements, an elite group of riders who are messengers and guardians for the king, and a powerful and evil adversary. What's not to like? I'll be picking this one up the day of release. Luckily it is scheduled for release the first of February, so the wait won't be to much longer.

Why it's on my wishlist:

A dystopian read that sounds like a truly epic and frightening world. It sounds like it's going to be a gripping read, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. This one is scheduled for release in May, so a few months of drooling and wanting still to go yet.

This week I'm waiting on Cheat the Grave by Vicki Pettersson. I think that this series is quite original, and I've read the first two (own them all) and can't wait to read this one. Hopefully I'll be able to re-read the first two books and read the new ones before I get to this one.


Don't you just love that cover? Sorry there is no write up for this one. I couldn't find anything on Amazon or Goodreads, however the book is set to be released June 8, 2010.

This week, I have decided to pick Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead. It is scheduled for release on May 18, 2010. (Synopsis taken from goodreads.)

I joined the "On My Wishlist" meme and found that it moved to Saturdays, so I figured that I would join the meme "Waiting on Wednesday" so I'd have something for sure to post on Wednesdays. :)

Waking The Witch - Kelley Armstrong

I can't wait for this one to come out. This is the new US cover I believe. I think that we'll be stuck with the black/white/red cover in Canada. (I like these covers, or this cover, much better than the simplistic ones!)

Kiss of Death - Rachel Caine

I just recently started The Morganville Vampire series and so far, I am loving it! I ended up buying all of the books, and just now need to find the time to read them. :)

Radiant Shadows - Melissa Marr

This is the fourth installment in the Wicked Lovely series. I think that they seem to get better with each new book. I can't wait to read this one!


I think I'll stop there for today, otherwise this post will be huge. I hope to add more each week. It's always nice to see what is coming out soon, and what people are reading!
